119 Years of Tradition

The Sons of Confederate Veterans was formed in 1896 and the General William B. Bate Camp 34 here in Gallatin was the 34th Camp nationwide and the 5th in Tennessee. It was affliated with the Donnelson Bivouac of the United Confederate Veterans and we are the inheritors of their legacy and committed to honoring the service of all those who served in the War for Southern Independence.

General William B. Bate

William B. Bate was born in Castalian Springs, Sumner County, Tennessee on October 7, 1826 at Hawthorne Hill.
